Traffina Foundation Donates Fetal Monitors and Trains Nurses and midwives at Primary health care centers on its use and storage

>

Prior to this intervention and provision of Digital Fetal Monitors . Midwives and nurses in many rural clinics where we work and provide maternal health services, used the old modern fetal dopplers that are generally known as Pinnards or fetoscope to listen to the heart rate of the fetus during Ante-natal care.

The importance  of the  Digital Fetal Monitors are so much that it helps the Midwives or health workers working at the delivery unit to be able to track the fetal heart beats and rates which is key to avoid fetal deaths and also be at alert for complications.

Using the old methods of monitoring fetal heart beats has come to an end at the 6 rural health care centers that received the donation from us.

The Midwives and Nurses now have more confidence in attending to the pregnant women and are very proud to use it because it shows the actual heart rate of every fetus, helping them to track normal and abnormal rates with prompt action taken.  while  the pregnant women are more excited to be able to hear the heart beats of their unborn babies.
